IMGPOST: private media vault

Design image sharing as a controlled lifecycle rather than permanent public storage.

Responsibilities

• Validate uploads and create optimized originals plus 100×100 thumbnails.
• Support expiration at upload time or start the countdown on first view.
• Protect individual images and whole albums with generated or custom passwords.
• Manage ownership, galleries, short links, metadata and administrative moderation.

Role: fullstack developer — upload pipeline, storage abstraction, access control, lifecycle jobs and gallery UX.

I built the service on Laravel 10 and Livewire with Intervention Image for processing and Flysystem for storage. A queue worker scans expiring records in bounded batches, removes originals and thumbnails, then cleans relational data. Jetstream, Sanctum and role-based permissions cover accounts and administration; the storage layer can use local disks or S3-compatible object storage.
